With over 30 years in the entertainment industry, Lamont Pete has built a reputation as a creative force and dealmaker across both scripted and unscripted television. As Head of Television Development & Production at Sunset Pictures, Lamont oversees a diverse slate of original content that spans biopics, bold docuseries, and culture-defining reality formats.

Lamont’s career began in the early wave of modern reality TV, cutting his teeth on pioneering series like The Real World, Wild ’N Out, and The Pussycat Dolls Present. Since then, he’s held key roles at MTV, BET, The CW, Fremantle Media, Endeavor, Pantheon Media Group, and now at Sunset Pictures—bringing an unmatched eye for talent, structure, and market instincts to every project.

Most recently, Lamont served as Consulting Producer on Netflix’s The Diddy Documentary, and is currently leading development on the celebrity bowling series Kingpins, as well as multiple scripted and biographical projects aimed at disrupting traditional formats.
