Founded in 2006, Sunset Pictures is a highly respected Independent Film Production Company based in Los Angeles. With over 100 productions, Sunset has been successful developing, packaging, funding, producing, and distributing branded, high profile original content in all media worldwide.  Relationship driven, Sunset has national production union deals, interfaces with top talent agencies, and drives content via studio output deals and long-standing distribution partnerships. Sunset’s content criteria is based on selecting great stories, original and branded entertainment combining prestige elements and commercial appeal.  Sunset Pictures cost effective production model mitigates investment risk by monetizing tax credits, procuring International pre-sales, and maximizing profits via traditional media, new media distribution mechanisms, and organic strategic marketing campaigns.  Sunset’s P&A fund (“Prints and Advertising”) controls marketing spend and provides revenue accountability.

DAHLIA WAINGORT
COO/EXECUTIVE IN CHARGE OF PRODUCTION

Born in Miami, Dahlia graduated from New World School of the Arts and attended England’s Oxford School of Drama. Through her distinguished associations with Richard Attenborough and Arthur Miller, as an actress Dahlia has caressed stages with memorable performances from Londons National Theatre production of Twelfth Night to the John Anson Ford Theatre’s production of Much Ado About Nothing in Los Angeles.  

Best known for her starring role alongside Ann-Margaret and Sonia Braga as a series regular on the CBS drama series Four Corners and as a recurring guest star in Felicity, Dahlia went on to work with Burt Reynolds in “Hard Time”, co-starred on America’s Most Wanted, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior with Forest Whitaker, recurring role on HBO hit series True Blood and on the ABC Family series Jane By Design. Dahlia recently starred in “Selfie Dad” and “The Muppets” for Disney. Dahlia goes back to the stage anytime she can – most recently she performed at the Santa Monica Playhouse in “Plays in the Park” along with Esai Morales, Mark Rydell, Ed Asner, and George Segal. She can currently be seen starring in the feature film “Selfie Dad”. 

Dahlia’s first venture into Producing was the passion project “Changing Hearts” in which she secured financing, Co-Produced and also had a supporting role. She Co-Produced the feature “Swing” and the thriller “Beneath the Darkness” starring Dennis Quaid. She Produced “The Bronx Bull” starring Joe Mantegna, Paul Sorvino, William Forsythe, “9/11” starring Charlie Sheen and Whoopie Goldberg, and most recently “Paradise Cove” starring Mena Suvari, Kristin Bauer van Stratan and Todd Grinnell. 

Dahlia was a financing consultant on the award winning documentary “Blackfish” and Produced the documentaries “Newman”, “Hero With A Thousand Faces”, and “Stronger for Life”. She is currently Producing the feature film “Sweetwater” while setting up “Big Finish” and “Gorgeous George”.  

Dahlia is COO, Executive VP of Development and Head of Production at Sunset Pictures. She is a member of the PGA and SAG-AFTRA and a founding member along with Jimmy Smits, Sonia Braga and Esai Morales of the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts.

MARTIN GUIGUI
PRESIDENT

Martin Guigui is an award-winning filmmaker, Music Director, Composer and Grammy nominated Music Producer. Guigui has directed Feature Films, Music Videos, has composed music for films and TV, worked on over 100 productions, produced over 50 music albums, toured extensively, and is Music Director for high profile Broadcast Concert Events. Born in Buenos Aires Argentina, son of famed Symphony Orchestra Conductor Maestro Efrain Guigui, Martin had an eclectic upbringing in New York, Puerto Rico and Vermont, a music prodigy playing Violin at age four, his concert debut with the Puerto Rico Symphony at age 12, performing Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto in D Major.

Guigui has worked with Stars and Icons of the Entertainment industry, and has shared the stage, recorded, and performed with music greats including Billy Gibbons, Daryl Hall, Christina Aguilera, Stephen Stills, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Lady Gaga, Peter Frampton, James Cotton, Dave Navarro, Jimmie Vaughan, George Thorogood, Sheila E, Nancy Wilson (Heart), Lyle Lovett, Robby Krieger, Steve Earle, Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Joe Bonamassa, Lemmy Kilmister, Vernon Reid, Jose Feliciano, Smokey Robinson, Sam Moore, David Byrne, Lucinda Williams, Grace Potter, Robert Randolph, Phish, Yolanda Adams, Robert Earl Keen, Orianthi, John Popper (Blues Traveler), Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke), Don Felder (Eagles), Richie Sambora, Joan Osborne, Trace Adkins, Lee Greenwood, Jake Owen, The Gatlin Brothers, NRBQ, Steve Forbert, Bo Diddley, Bret Michaels, Billy Ray Cyrus, James Montgomery, Haley Reinhart, ZZ Ward, and many others.

Recipient of songwriting Billboard Awards, ASCAP Performance Awards, United Nations World Award, Caesar Award, Golden Spirit Award, Estabrook Award, numerous “Best Director” Festival Awards, twice honored by City Of Los Angeles for artistic contributions to music education, Martin music directs charity events regularly for America Salutes You, Endangered Species, Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, National Guard Foundation, and Prevention Of Child Abuse.

Most recently Guigui helped organize and Music Directed the iconic “One America” Concert Event hosted by the 5 living U.S. Presidents raising $45 Million Dollars for Hurricane relief. Martin is a contributing author to the book “After Shock” (50th anniversary of “Future Shock”), is co-founder and President of Sunset Pictures, was a High School standout basketball player and still passionately enjoys the game having played in the Entertainment League with the likes of Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, and Kevin Hart.
